Grand Theft Charge Details
Client was charged with grand theft at a local department store. He quickly contacted our office and retained my services. He avoided making a mistake that is frequently made by persons who are arrested when they wait to receive a court date before contacting and hiring an attorney.
Credit Card Fraud Charge Details
The case also involved an attempt to use fraudulent credit cards. However, Mr. Lavandera immediately after being hired by the client, investigated the case and found out that the alleged “credit card” was actually a gift card that was given the client by a “confidential informant” working for the police.
It became obvious that the “confidential informant” had entrapped our client in an effort to gain favors from the police and prosecutors. The charges were subsequently dismissed.
The Outcome
Thanks to the quick action taken by Mr. Lavandera and the law firm’s investigators, the client can now go back to his normal life without any concern about doing jail time or any other potential sentence.
The client charged with credit card fraud and grand theft is now eligible to expunge his case which will remove all mention from the criminal justice system records and will also allow him to deny, legally, that he has ever been arrested.
